St. Patrick's Day Workstations!

This week we worked hard at our St. Patrick's Day centers! One of our favorite stations was using gold coins to represent different numbers on a part-part-whole mat! 

Rock the ISATS!

Look at how Butterfield School helps our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders get ready for testing! Kindergartners also wrote to their 4th grade buddies and gave them a hug and a good luck!

Mr. Harry's Kindergarten

On Friday, Miss Ambler and I were not at school. We were at a conference with thousands of other Kindergarten teachers! We took some very exciting workshops about math, literacy, technology and music! All of these were so beneficial to us and we plan on coming back to school and implementing some new ideas! One of our favorite workshops was with the students' favorite song writer, Mr. Harry of Mr. Harry's Kindergarten! Here we are taking a picture with him. 

Reading to Someone

Every Wednesday, Miss Ambler's room and Mrs. W.'s room get together to read to each other.  The kinders sit EEKK (elbow to elbow and knee to knee). They pick out their favorite books and take turns reading.  This has become one of their favorite times.  Here are a few of them engrossed into their books.We are sooooo proud! :)
